Visiting Us

The Museum is open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday.
Please note however that occasionally Cathedral events require the Museum to close. If you are planning a visit it is advisable to ring in advance.

Getting here

By Train:
under 70 minutes by rail from London, and less than 20 minutes from Cambridge.

By Car:
Ely is situated on the A10 north of Cambridge. There is a large free car park within 300 yards of the Cathedral.

Accessibility

Our Main Gallery is located on the upper level of the Cathedral accessed by a spiral staircase. For those unable to access the museum a touch screen virtual visit is available on the ground floor.

Family Group £7.00
(up to four and must include one child under 16)

Joint Ticket Admission

A joint ticket with the Cathedral is available from the ground floor admission desks.

The Museum shop sells a range of books and postcards and a wide range of handmade gifts related to stained glass.



Library

The Museum has an extensive specialist reference library which can be used by appointment.
